Sturgis Library Director Lucy Loomis worked with Town Councilor Ann Canedy and Sandy Neck resident Lucille Moquin to create an archive of images and copies of scrapbooks documenting the history of the Sandy Neck cottage colony from the 1940s through the early 1990s. Ann worked with Lucille to document the history of the colony as seen through the photographs. Lucy then scanned the images and created a digital archive, and also made color photocopies of the photo albums and scrapbooks. The copied albums were then hardcover bound with funding from the Mid-Cape Cultural Council.
The images and documentation can be found on our flickr page.
