Author Bios:
Asha Lemmie is the New York Times bestselling author of Fifty Words For Rain. After graduating from Boston College with a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, she relocated to New York City where she worked in book publishing. Asha writes historical fiction that focuses on bringing unique perspectives to life. In normal circumstances, she divides her time between New York, London, and Kyoto.
Crystal Hana Kim is the author of If You Leave Me, which was a Booklist Editor’s Choice title and named a best book of 2018 by The Washington Post, Literary Hub, The New York Post, and Nylon, among others. She was a 2021 Jerome Hill Artist Finalist, a 2017 PEN America Dau Short Story Prize winner, and has received scholarships from Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, Sewanee Writers’ Conference, and Hedgebrook. Her work has been published in Elle Magazine, The Paris Review, Guernica, and elsewhere. She teaches at Columbia University and is a contributing editor at Apogee Journal.
Michaela Carter is a writer, painter, and award-winning poet. She is the author of the novels Further Out Than You Thought and Leonora In the Morning Light. Her poetry won the Poetry Society of America Los Angeles New Poets Contest, has been nominated for Pushcart Prizes, and has appeared in numerous anthologies and journals. She is the cofounder of the independent bookstore the Peregrine Book Company in Prescott, Arizona, where she lives with her husband and two dogs.
Andromeda Romano-Lax is the author of five novels translated into 11 languages, including The Spanish Bow, A NYT Editors’ Choice, and Annie and the Wolves (Feb 2021), selected by Oprah Magazine as one of 2021’s “Best and Most Anticipated Historical Novels.” Born in Chicago, she lived in Alaska, Taiwan and Mexico before settling on a small island in British Columbia, Canada.
