Grief 101: Cultivating Grief Literacy on Cape & the Islands

February 11 @ 5:30 pm 6:30 pm

Grief is a natural response to loss, yet many bereaved people report feeling misunderstood and abandoned by their friends and communities due to a lack of education about the needs of the grieving.

We’re starting the conversation with Grief 101, a presentation that covers “the basics” of grief: what it is, how it impacts our brains and bodies, and how we can support people in our lives who are going through it.

Resources are available as part of the event, including a Child’s Grief Book Pack gifted by Sharing Kindness to each host library.

This program is funded by the Network of the National Library of Medicine and is presented by Sharing Kindness.

There is NO registration required–drop in.
