The Dave Crocker Historical Manuscript & Document Collection with Dave Crocker

Dave Crocker is a historian who loves his town. He and his family have given so many treasures to the residents of Barnstable: photographs, documents, and artifacts collected by many generations of Crockers throughout the centuries.

David wanted a safe environment with public access for the collection. He found that at Sturgis Library. The Dave Crocker Historical Manuscript & Document Collection consists of business transactions, journals, voting lists, court transactions, justice records, political writings, wills, writs, letters, receipts, correspondence, plus deeds for property, salt works, pews, wharfs, and piers. Dave will be our tour guide through this rich collection which also includes incredible photos, year- books, and documents of his teenage years as a member of the Millers Store Gang!
