Collectible Book, Art, and Ephemera Sale
October 2, 2023 – October 14, 2023
Mark your calendars for a very special book sale to be held starting Monday, October 2nd and running through Saturday, October 14th, 2023. The sale will be open during regular library hours.
The books are primarily from the estate of a prominent local book collector and seller and other local donors. Books are priced to sell, and all proceeds benefit Sturgis Library.
The sale will feature hundreds of titles in the following categories:
- Cape Cod authors including Kurt Vonnegut, Joseph Lincoln, Mary Oliver, Robert Finch, and many others
- Cape Cod-related titles
- Birds and birding
- Reptiles and amphibians
- Insects, spiders, and butterflies
- Natural history
- Mammals
- Fishes
- Wildflowers, plants, and trees
- Modern and antiquarian first editions
- Decorated bindings
- Florida-related titles
- Militariana, guns, and weapons
- Art and photographs
- Poetry
- History
- Literature & classics
- Children’s books
- Biography

In addition to books, the sale will feature:
- Framed and unframed original art
- Art prints
- Sketches and illustrations
- Ephemera
- A selection of original art depicting author Kurt Vonnegut, as well as a sculpture owned by the author (donated by the author’s family)
We accept donations of special, collectible, or antiquarian books, ephemera and artwork throughout the year. To be included in this sale we would appreciation any donations Friday, September 29th.
