Daniel Johnson was a minister. He sold one undivided half of two bodies of saltworks, 21 "crains?," containing 1,080 feet. It was situated on the southeasterly side of Town Cove, and on the right hand side of the road as you pass from Asa Hopkin's house to the Meeting House. Also included was the land on which the salt works stood, and one undivided half of the store house, sails to the mills, with privileges to pass below the bank necessary for said saltworks, and the privilege to pass with a team from the works to the road.
