Deed Notes
Ephraim Cole was described as "mariner." Two properties were sold, and also described as lying in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Property bounds are described in both rods and poles. For the first property the bounds are: beginning at Martha Cole's southeast corner, the bound ran easterly one rod and 5', to a stone in the swamp, thence ran northerly through swamp to Esq. Sparrow's land, thence ran westerly in Sparrow's range one rod and 5', to Martha Cole's northeast corner and thence southerly to first bound. The second property, one lot of wood of about 1 1/4 acre, lay in Brewster, near the so-called Ralph Pond. The bounds are: from Edmund Linnel's southwest corner, thence ran easterly in the Linnel range 25 poles to a stone in the ground, and then run southerly 10 poles to a stone in Martha Cole's range, thence westerly 25 poles to Martha Cole's northwest corner bound, thence ran northerly to first bound mentioned.
