Both the seller and buyer were described as yeomen. The property came to the sellers from their brother, Rueben Higgins, late of Eastham, deceased. There appears to be two men Eliakim Higgins. The first, the buyer, and the second, the late husband of Barshabe (?) Higgins, widow. The relationship between the two men with the same names is not described. Barshabe Higgins sells her thirds that came to her from her husband, Eliakim Higgins.
